OUR OBJECTIVE
When we bought our first German shepherd puppy in 1979, we could never have guessed that this very dog ‘Condor van ’t land van Dommel en Aa’ would form the foundation of our present blood line. He represented everything that we still strive for in our breeding programme. He obtained as first and only dog within his race judge class I, VH III and 4 KNPV certificates with distinction.
After 25 years of experience in dogs’ sport, training German shepherds, both within the VDA and within the police dog programme, I took the most important parts from both disciplines and mixed these into my own training method. I use the part of the police dog sport as a base training in order to get a clear picture of the drifts that are present by nature. Therefore I require much own initiative from the bitches without losing sight of the minor points. If these drifts are clearly present the switch to the defence will follow, whereby the dogs are well supervised without making too many concessions. I want to see an overall dedication!!!
In my opinion dogs always need to be driven to work and they need to possess all basic drifts by nature. In order to create a strong basis for a good breeding product an open and honest view on the bitches that we work and breed with is necessary. After having a clear picture of our own material we can look for completion of character and exterior in a suitable cover partner for our bitches.
When we look back at 10 years "vom Haus Valkenplatz" we are entitled to say that we are on the right way with regards to the excellent results of the various descendants. This would never have been possible without the dedication and confidence of a lot of people that came across our path during all those years.Dogs’ sport is a team sport for us in which you can obtain the best results when you are surrounded by the right people.
